Second Amendment
Upholding the Second Amendment
Jason firmly believes that the Second Amendment is an inalienable right, which shall not be infringed. This is undeniable, and has been a core principle since our nation’s birth.
Regrettably, recent years have seen a rise in firearm-related violence, both in Michigan and across the country. Many attribute this rise to undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues, and Jason believes this to be true.
In order to combat the rise in firearm violence in Michigan and the nation, Jason believes that we need more publicly-available resources for education around Second Amendment, coupled with greatly expanded mental health services for our citizens. Informed citizens are empowered citizens. Jason believes that education has a deep-rooted connection with safety, and supplementing safety efforts to empower citizens is a primary concern.
